AI OFF

Settings beyond the page

AI Off's desktop companion changes supported browser and operating system settings. Phone checklists show changes to make yourself.

Desktop companion

Desktop downloads are not available yet. The Mac build is unsigned. Windows has no release. Checklists are available now.

Supported targets include Chromium AI policies, Edge Copilot controls, Firefox AI preferences, Windows Recall and Copilot, and Apple Intelligence profiles. Coverage depends on browser, version, permissions, Windows edition, and sometimes a work profile.

Removing the Windows Copilot app needs approval. Approve or remove Mac profiles in System Settings.

The companion records changes for reversal and checks saved settings when opened, including after updates. Reapply supported changes if settings return. Reverse manual changes where they were made.

Browser policies may show "managed by your organization." That message does not mean AI Off watches browsing. Existing school or employer policies may take priority.
